Comments about ReUsables Made from Corn - 2pk Plates:

I read the reviews and figured the other reviewers were just not careful enough, didn't wash properly, etc. Nope.
They are just bad. Upon opening the package I was explaining to other family that the plates are required to be hand washed and are known to be fragile. As I washed them one plate cracked about 3 inches. I tried to shrug it off and washed the other one. The unbroken plate was used for dinner that night. When I lifted the plate with food on it, it cracked. So both of them were destroyed within 6 hours of receiving them.
Do not waste your money on the plates!

Comments about ReUsables Made from Corn - 2pk Plates:

I bought these thinking they would be a easy to clean, eco-friendly product. They both broke within the first week we had them in the house. One broke when my son (14 mos) tried to throw it on the floor and I grabbed it from him- just tore in two. The other broke when my husband was hand washing it.

Comments about ReUsables Made from Corn - 2pk Plates:

We have had these for a couple of weeks and they have both broken already. We have not washed them in the dishwasher or microwaved/boiled them. The first one broke after my husband dropped it on the floor. I noticed the second one was cracked when washing it tonight after dinner, I have no idea how that happened. Unfortunately, these are just really flimsy. It's too bad because I like the fact they are eco-friendly and the two sided design is nice as well.

Comments about ReUsables Made from Corn - 2pk Plates:

I love the design of these plates-- they allow me to divide my two year old's meal into two sections, they are so lightweight and just the right size for our petite daughter. Plus, I appreciate that they are not just made of plastic, as so many of the other options are. I've been using these with her for about 6 months, and although my husband washed them in the dishwasher a couple of times, I find it best to hand wash them. They are extremely easy to handwash-- I have never felt that it is extra work for me to do it.

Comments about ReUsables Made from Corn - 2pk Plates:

We love these plates & the rest of their dishes & utensils. They're much safer than other available plastics. The care instructions on the back tell you to handwash, but we've never had a problem running them in the dishwasher (on top rack) w/the rest of our dishes. They always look & serve great afterward. Currently our oldest plate is almost a year(and counting, since it hasn't yet warped, cracked, etc.). Although they mention this, I would not try it in the microwave. However, plastics of any kind shouldn't be used in the microwave w/childrens' food.
