Full disclosure: I mostly use cloth, except for traveling, stomach bugs and such. I'd always used 7th Generation. However, I will now be using Earth's Best when I have to go "sposie." They are thinner and do have a better fit on my trim, petite, 18-month-old. They are built exactly like Pampers, which I do like for the trim fit and best leak protection on my kid, but they don't have that godawful stink like Pampers. Also, I am not crazy about the nonstop marketing of cartoon characters, so it's nice to have a diaper that doesn't put a branded character on my kid's booty. I find that Seventh Generation is bulkier and a bit funky when they have pee in them. I am a bit skeptical that these are really all THAT eco-friendly - I don't think they are more biodegradable than a Pampers - but at least a few less chemicals next to baby's bum is a good thing.

So I have used quite a few eco diapers and these are really quite good and not as expensive as some.

First of all, my baby is a chubby heavy eater, I breastfeed and he still eats a lot during the night. I love these diapers but they leaked a few times but only in the early mornings (after 10-12 hrs). During the day they work great, no leaks! The reason I switched to these was because my baby would get really bad red marks from the chemicals in the other diapers, this is the ONLY diaper that doesn't leave red marks or spots on him. They must be doing something right. Buying again!!!

I have an 11 week old who is probably between 12 and 12.5 pounds. I have been using Seventh Generation on him but switched to Earth's Best as they have them at the local store down here, too, as well as on diapers.com. Yesterday was our first day using them and they definitely held a lot of moisture and didn't feel soggy or wet after overnight use. They feel pretty soft to me, softer than the Seventh Generation (but both are comparable). I kind of like the "band" on it that has the logo and the cute baby blocks, although it wouldn't really sway me either way!

The only con is... the size ones are HUGE!!!!!!!! on my little one. I mean, these are REALLY huge on him. I have to pull the tabs around on the front to hold the diaper shut, and the tabs go almost all across his body so it's almost like, double wrapped on him for lack of a better description. We'll finish out the pack that we have but may end up switching to our original brand if we find that he has more diaper accidents due to the apparent huge-ness of the diaper on my LO. I really do not have any complaints about the diaper itself other than it just doesn't seem to fit my LO's body :) But we'll see how the rest of the pack goes!
